How the Seahawks won Super Bowl LX
Seattle’s defense ran the game from the first snap. The Patriots won the toss and deferred, but they never found the end zone in the first three quarters. Their zero first half points tied a Super Bowl record. Myers kicked three field goals for a 9 to 0 halftime lead and a fourth to make it 12 to 0.
Seattle finally scored a touchdown with 13:24 left, when Darnold hit tight end AJ Barner from 16 yards. Maye answered with a 35 yard score to Mack Hollins, but Myers kicked his record fifth field goal and linebacker Uchenna Nwosu returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown to seal it at 29 to 7. It was New England’s first Super Bowl of the post Brady and Belichick era, under first year coach Mike Vrabel.
